| What: We will be beautifying Houston's Third Ward - clearing abandoned lots that contain items such as refrigerators, tires, and syringes & painting and repairing homes. | ||

| HOW DOES THIS PROJECT RAISE MONEY FOR MISSIONS? | ||
| After you commit to working 8 hours over FOCUS TEXAS WEEKEND, the process is very simple. BSM staff will walk you through the process step by step. See the process below. Last year we raised over $4,000 in less than 3 weeks. (If you have class, work, or a family obligation that you cannot miss on the work days, please let us know and we can help you make alternate arrangements to complete your 8 hours of work.) |  |

| 6 DATES TO REMEMBER: | ||
| September 15th: Pick up your address list, complete it, and return it to BSM staff by Tuesday, Sept 15th. (You may submit less than or more than 25 names. However, only those who submit at least 25 names will be eligible for our grand prize.) Download an address list now. | ||

September 22nd: Address list due today or before. Pick up your letters & envelopes, personalize them, & return completed letters & envelopes to BSM staff by Tuesday, September 22nd. You may begin stuffing process if you'd like. | |
| October 4th: Letters & envelopes due today or before. Begin stuffing your envelopes. All envelopes must be stuffed by 5pm on Wednesday, September 30th or before. (Stamps will be provided by the BSM) | ||
| November 6 and 7th:: FOCUS TEXAS WEEKEND - Join us as we serve our community. You will need to work 4 hours each day - otherwise you'll need to participate in the WAT make up workday Nov. 14th. |  |

| November 10th: Pick up & write thank you notes to your friends & family who donated to the Work-a-thon. Return completed & addressed thank you notes to BSM staff by Nov. 10th or before. | ||
